A.M. Best
EquiTrust Life Insurance Company has an insurer financial strength rating of "B+" Good from A.M. Best Co. This is the sixth highest of 16 rating levels.

Standard & Poor's
EquiTrust Life Insurance Company has an insurer financial strength rating of "A-" Strong from Standard & Poor's. This is seventh highest of 21 rating designations.

About the ratings
A.M. Best's ratings for insurance companies range from "A++" to "S". A.M. Best indicates that "B++" and "B+" (Good) rating are assigned to those companies that in A.M. Best's opinion have a good ability to meet their ongoing obligations to policyholders. Standard & Poor's ratings for insurance companies range from "AAA" to "R". Standard & Poor's indicates that "A" ratings are assigned to those companies that have demonstrated strong financial security.
